Despite the fact that survival rates are increasing, the fact remains that people are still diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndromes.
For instance, the survival rate for patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) is approximately 73%, yet the rate for patients diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) remains a frighteningly low 18.7%.
